G'day Folks. My name is Andrew, so why do they call me The Coffee Bush Kid? I may have found the odd gold coin or two in the middle of the coffee bush where others fear to tread.

I'm a Metal Detectorist from Australia and now also content creator, bringing you weekly videos of my adventures, plus tips and tricks for Metal Detecting over on YouTube. I'm also a presenter and occassional host on the weekly Miner's Den show.

What is Coffee Bush? Cassinia arcuata is a shrub native to south-east Australia with fine leaves and small coffee coloured flowers in autumn. It grows very thickly on cleared land (as in Gold rush areas) and helps regenerate the native landscape, as other natives will take over the coffee bush in time, unlike gorse or blackberry which crowd them out.
